Claudia M Lopez, CPhT. Lab Floor Manager

Claudia is a Certified Pharmacy Technician and registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

She has lived outside the country in Honduras where she had over 15 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical and Business Management Fields.

She joined Specialty Veterinary Pharmacy in January, 2015 as a Compounding Technician. Currently she is the Lab Floor Manager and also helps in Purchasing/Shipping/Receiving departments.

In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband & son traveling the world, learning about different cultures and trying all types of food.

Nancy Phan, RPh, Pharm. D

Nancy is a graduate of Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Minor in Chemistry from the University of Houston. Nancy’s interest in compounding was sparked by a PCCA compounding course that exposed her to a different personalized field of pharmacy. After the first day, she knew exactly what she wanted to do after graduating and joined our SVPMEDs team. Since then she has worked as a certified pharmacy technician, pharmacy intern to now registered pharmacist. She is certified in sterile IV preparation, non-sterile compounding and immunizations. Her experience ranges from retail, hospital, ambulatory medicine and veterinary compounding.

In her spare time, she loves to travel the world and discover new food. She also loves to play volleyball and enjoys routinely taking her dog, Paxil to the community dog park.

Derald Turner, Rph

Education: The University of Texas at Austin BA Biology 1990, BS Pharmacy 1995, Registered Pharmacist in Texas since 1995.

Has worked in long term care (geriatric), staffing, and prescription benefit management.

Personal: Derald has been an animal lover since childhood and has kept many pets over the years.

Personal Bio: Mimi Tonnu is married and has 2 daughters. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her children. Her hobbies are singing, reading, and playing table tennis.

David Martinez, VP

David has always enjoyed running businesses. In fact, by the time he was 27, he had already managed a veterinary compounding pharmacy processing 200 orders a day. Soon afterwards, partnered with Specialty Veterinary Pharmacy. He is the Vice President of Specialty Veterinary Pharmacy, which compounding veterinary medication for pets across the United States.

Prior to starting at SVPMEDS, David spent 10 years as a Veterinary Pharmacy Manager and a Certified Pharmacy Technician. David helps veterinarians with solutions for difficult to medicate patients.

When David is not working on Specialty Veterinary Pharmacy, he likes to spend time with his son, running and crossfit training. He is a devoted father, husband and small business owner from Houston, Texas.
