Quality-Driven Veterinarians Count On SVP Quality Control
Specialty Veterinary Pharmacy has become a leader in compounding for animal patients, largely for two reasons: a focus on quality and service. All products are made under USP guidelines. They’re tested for sterility and delivered at a competitive price.
The compounding business requires proper facilities, equipment, procedures, and training. It’s easy to encounter problems relating to dosing, sterility, and cost. Many clinics find it hard to remain in compliance and make in-clinic compounding productive.
SVP compounds from raw chemicals and uses analytical balances. We measure everything against a master formula and mix in a clean room. Our technicians sterilize each compound using dry heat, filtration, or steam. From there, we aseptically dispense medication into sterile bottles.
Cyclosporine provides a good example of SVP quality control. During preparation in our clean room, a technician certified in sterile compounding takes random samples in accordance with USP guidelines on testing products for sterility and potency. You’re assured that eye drops entering your patients’ eyes are safe.
Cyclosporine requires a written prescription from a licensed veterinarian.
Beyond use date: 60 to 90 days
Specialty Veterinary Pharmacy does not make any claims of efficacy for this medication. These medications are not an FDA approved item, but are compounded in a licensed pharmacy.
SVPMEDS compounds Cyclosporine to meet individual patients’ needs using USP <797> guidelines.
