Doxorubicin HCl 2mg/mL injections for dogs and cats is the most widley used antineoplastic agent at present in small animal medicine. It may be useful in the treatment of a variety of lymphomas, carcinomas, leukemias, and sarcomas in both the dog and cat, either alone or in combination protocols.
Adverse Effects: Clients must be briefed on the possibilities of severe toxicity developing from this drug, including drug-related mortality. Clients should contact the veterinarian if the patient exhibits clinical signs of profound depression, abnormal bleeding (including diarrhea) and/or bruising. Avoid skin contact with urine or feces for treated animals for at least 21 days after treatment.

Warning: Severe cellulitis vesication and tissue necrosis will occur if doxorubicin is extravasated during administration.
