Glycopyrrolate can be used as a preanesthetic anticholinergic agent. It has been used to treat sinus bradycardia, sinoatrial arrest, and incomplete AV block, where anticholinergic therapy may be beneficial.

Adverse Effects: With the exclusion of uncommon CNS adverse effects and being marginally less arrhythmogenic, glycopyrrolate can be expected to have a comparable adverse effect as atropine. The commercial veterinary product references solely mydriasis, tachycardia, and xerostomia as adverse effects in canines and felines at the doses proposed.
