Pimobendan transdermal gel compounded for dogs and cats is used to treat dogs with congestive heart failure (CHF) secondary to dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) or chronic mitral valve insufficiency (CMVI) myxomatous/degenerative mitral valve disease (MMVD, DMVD).
Pimobendan's primary adverse effects in dogs are gastrointestinal effects.
